Are you on the fence about getting a Cabin Max Bag?
Let me help you out, I have owned my Cabin Max for over a year now and it’s still going strong 💪
The Cabin Max Manhattan Backpack is very popular with those who fly on budget airlines for a weekend getaway or an even longer trip.
The last few times I’ve gone to the airport it seems everyone and their Nan owns one.
But is it worth buying?
Yes- I love mine and it’s the only bag I use when flying!
This guide reviews and answers any questions you may have about the Cabin Max cabin bag.
So let’s get started and see if this luggage is for you!
My overall review: Cabin Max bag (Manhattan Stowaway)
It can be hard to find a bag that is spacious yet compact at the same time.
It can be even harder to find a cabin bag that can be used on all budget airlines.
But this is why the Cabin Max Manhattan Stowaway stands head and shoulders above the rest!
There are so many reasons why frequent flyers and those wanting to explore Europe on a budget love this bag- myself included!
I don’t say this lightly, it makes my travelling a lot easier 🤩
It includes lots of storage pockets so you can keep everything organised and easily accessible while travelling.
The front pocket also features two mesh pockets that are perfect for safely storing quick-access items like your passport or phone.

Cons
❌ Zippers may become damaged if you are too forceful
❌ If you overpack and stuff your bag, it does become uncomfortable to carry
Frequently asked questions
I’m sure you have a few questions about this Cabin Max bag and if it’s the right one for you.
To help you answer any questions you may have, we have put the most frequently asked questions in one place.
What’s it like to travel with the Cabin Max Manhattan Stowaway?

This is a great bag to travel with. It’s sturdy, but not heavy, and has lots of storage space.
Even though it has a very sturdy exterior design, I didn’t have any trouble fitting it under the seat in front of me.
If you are a really good packer, you could easily fit a week’s worth of clothes in here.
What I and many travellers love about this bag are the extra compartments.
The front pocket almost blends into the bag so is a great way to hide your passport and other travel documents.
I find this so handy when you are going through security and passport control!
Will I be able to bring my Cabin Max as hand luggage on board budget airlines?
If you’re going to be flying with a budget airline, it’s important to know if it will be allowed as hand luggage.
This is because many popular airlines used to explore Europe have totally different size restrictions.
The bag measures 40x20x25cm so is allowed on all budget airlines as a free hand luggage bag, including Ryanair!
To double-check what size hand luggage you can take on your flight, have a look at the guide below 👇

What budget airlines can I use Cabin Max luggage on?

As great as budget airlines are, the different hand luggage rules are hard to keep up with.
However they generally all have one rule, you are allowed one bag you can bring on the flight for free.
I cannot review a cabin max bag without mentioning if you are restricted by any airline- that would be zero help!
You will be happy to know that this cabin max model is okay all budget airlines including EasyJet and Ryanair.
I have used mine with Easyjet, Ryanair, Norwegian Air, TUI and a few others with ZERO problems!
➡️ If you are looking for a bag you can use on EasyJet, use this baggage guide.

Is The Cabin Max Manhattan Stowaway good for everyday use?

Who doesn’t love a bag that you don’t just have to save for your next flight?
And I couldn’t do a Cabin Max bag review without mentioning how great it is for daily use.
For getting to the office, grabbing a few items from the shop or overnight stays, I use mine pretty much every day.
The laptop compartment makes this a fantastic bag to take your technology out and about, especially if you need to do work on the go.
I have even had to use mine when it’s been raining and all my stuff was dry apart from the very front compartment. But I live in Wales so when I say rain, it’s not light 😳
Is the Cabin Max Manhattan Stowaway easy to store in the overhead locker?

I’m 5’3 so the struggle is real when putting anything in these lockers 🤦♀️
Thankfully, someone was looking out for your girl with this bag!
It is easy to pull down from the overhead locker and also really easy to store.
Even though many budget airlines ask you to keep your cabin bag underneath the seat in front of you, you will have no issues putting it in the overhead locker.
Thanks to its material and durability, it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space so is really easy to store!
Cabin Max bag review final thoughts
It’s been over a year now, I expected some wear and tear.
Or like most of my bags, to fall out of love with them and end up in a Toy Story situ where they end up in the back of my wardrobe.
However, Cabin Max has outdone themselves and this is one of my top travel essentials 👏
This bag not only is perfect for all budget airlines but also makes packing and travelling around with it so easy.
I love mine so much that I even use it for day-to-day use and weekend breaks!
