Are you on the fence about purchasing an Airhub eSim for your travels?

Let me help-I just used one for a month whilst in The UK, Oslo and Copenhagen!

I have used eSims for years whilst travelling across Europe and beyond because if I didn’t, my phone bill would have cost me a fortune 😳

I will admit some are an absolute pain to set up and others do not give me the internet access I need even to use Google Maps.

However, I had no major issues and was pleasantly surprised by the Airhub esim!

To help you decide if this is the right one for your next trip, let’s walk through my experience with my genuine Airhub esim review.

AirHub is a forward-thinking company dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by modern travellers dealing with the complexities of staying connected abroad.

Recognizing the painstaking situation many travellers encounter with unreliable Wi-Fi and horrific roaming charges, AirHub aims to simplify and enhance the travel experience.

And from my experience with them, they have totally achieved that!

Airhub eSIM Review: My Pros and Cons

Girl with grey hat and sunglasses sat on a boat cruise infront of the colourful houses in copenhagen- wouldnt have been able to find the location without an e-sim!
I wouldn’t have been able to find any of my tours in
Copenhagen
without having this E-Sim!

Having an eSIM is one of the essentials I recommend most to anyone visiting Europe. So it’s a good idea to get one that is reliable!

I found the setup and using my esim for calls, text and data around Europe and The UK straightforward and user-friendly. But, I did have a few teething problems along the way.

Although, I did find all the positives massively outweighed any negatives with this product. You may never even encounter any of the small issues I had, but it’s good to be aware of them just in case.

After using my Airhub sim for a month, these were my thoughts:

Pros:

✔️ No physical SIM card

✔️ Easy to follow set up with a step-by-step guide

✔️ HUGE range of packages:  170+ countries with data, calls, and text options

✔️ Super helpful staff with 24/7 support

✔️ Great value for money

✔️ Compatible with pretty much every device

Cons:

❌ Set-up guide tailored more to US devices

❌ I had to switch my phone from Aeroplane mode a few times when I landed for it to kick in

❌ I have received a few spam calls

❌ A lot of text messages from the eSim carrier are only in French and not English

How To Activate An AirHub eSIM

This is one thing I love about this eSIM, you scan a QR code and most of the work is done.

I set it up whilst I was packing for my trip and didn’t take much time at all.

To show you how easy it is, these are the steps:

1 Tap Cellular or Mobile Data from Settings (be connected to good WI-FI)

2 Click Add Cellular/ Mobile Plan

3 Scan the QR code sent to your email

4 Click ” Add Cellular/ Mobile Plan”

5 Create a new name for your “Airhub Mobile”- I usually go for secondary or travel

6 Select “Update” when Carrier Settings Update comes up

7 Choose Primary as your Default Line and for other things like AppleID

8 When you are ready to travel, simply change your setting to the “Airhub Mobile”

Then, to set mobile data up on your device:

1 Go to Settings > Cellular/ Mobile Data and make sure Airhub Mobile eSIM is on

2 Tap Cellular Data/ Mobile Serice and click your Airhub Mobile eSIM. ( make sure your Data Roaming is on)

Was It Easy To Set Up My Airhub eSIM?

I cannot do an Airhub esim review without mentioning the insulation process. It took me less than 5 minutes and the instructions were super easy to follow!

I am not the best with technology so I feel like anyone can set this up with next to no help! 🤩

But if you have any issues along the way, you can jump on their live chat or call and they will walk you through the process.

They also have loads of guides so if you want to try and sort your problem yourself, you can.

The E-Sim Package I Had

If you have a UK phone and want to travel to Europe, I recommend the package I have. There was plenty of Data and was great value for money.

It also worked out much cheaper than purchasing extra data from Three!

The 15 GB plan for 30 Days:

  • 15GB Data eSIM with unlimited calls in Europe
  • 30 Minutes of Calls from Europe to the rest of the world
  • The line was activated and the 30 days started when connecting to a network in one of the eligible countries
  • Supports Android, IOS devices (refer to FAQ for compatible handsets)
  • 24*7 customer support service.

However, this may not work for you. Like if you are not travelling to Europe from the UK- but don’t panic!

No matter if you are reaching Europe from India, the US or anywhere else or even how many GBs you need, you will find a plan that works perfectly for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before purchasing anything for your travels, I’m sure you have a few questions. To make this easier, I have put all the most commonly asked questions in one place:

Is it safe to use an eSIM?

Yes, using an eSIM is generally safe. It offers secure and encrypted activation processes similar to physical SIM cards. Just make sure you always adhere to the recommended security measures provided by your device and service providers.

Which UK carrier has eSIM?

Major UK carriers like EE, Vodafone, Three and O2 support eSIM technology. If you are not with any of these providers check they support it before purchasing an eSIM.

Which is the best eSIM card for UK and Europe?

There are lots of options available. I am based in the UK and use an eSIM here and in Europe. The best providers I have come across are AIRHUB, Bouygues Telecom and Nomad.

Does an eSIM have a phone number?

Yes, an eSIM can have a phone number associated with it, just like a physical SIM card. It enables users to make and receive calls, send messages, and access mobile data services without a physical SIM card.

Is eSIM better than physical SIM?

eSIMs offer flexibility with multiple profiles, easy remote activation, and no physical swapping. So if you are travelling or need multiple data packages, eSIM’s are much better.

Airhub ESim Review Final Thoughts

Just like making sure you have packed the right clothes for your trip, being able to use your device is something you need to consider before your trip!

Beyond texting your family to let them know you are safe, being able to access Google Maps, hotel reservations and everything else makes any trip THAT MUCH EASIER.

I never travel without an ESIM because I like having that safety net. But that being said, I have used some awful ones over the years, like straight up didn’t work 😂

So if you are looking for amazing value for money, easy setup and a huge variety of options, give AIRHUB a go!

I RECOMMEND USING AIRHUB TO GET YOUR NEXT ESIM!
