Has the question “Should I buy the Brim Explorer Oslo tour” crossed your mind?
Let me help you out-I have just done a Brim Explorer tour from Oslo!
When planning your trip you’ll quickly notice that you can do many boat tours in Oslo. So trust me, I know what a challenge it can be to pick the right one for you.
In a nutshell, yes I highly recommend booking a tour with Brim Explorer!
I have been exploring Europe for over 20 years so I’ve done my fair share of tours and experiences. And this is easily one of my favourites.
So let’s dive in and look at why this is one of the best Oslo Fjord boat tours to book for your trip.
Is Oslo Fjord Worth Visiting?
If you have experienced the other Fjords around Norway, they probably will not seem that impressive.
However, If you are visiting Oslo for a day or longer, they are absolutely worth visiting. It’s a great way to see some of the sites around the city and learn more about the capital.
I hadn’t visited any Fjords before and they were not what I imagined. But I still loved visiting them and it’s made me want to explore more of them throughout the country.
Whether you are visiting in the winter, summer or anything in between, dress appropriately. You will be gutted if you can’t make the most of the views because the weather is not on your side!
No matter how long you are on your city break, packing well will make your trip so much better.
Can You Take A Fjord Tour From Oslo?

You can easily take a tour of Oslo’s Fjord from the city. These tours typically take 1.5-2 hours and are one of the best ways to learn about the city and see the landscape.
But if you want to explore what other Fjords Norway has to offer, you can book a round-trip tour to see them from Oslo.
My Brim Explorer Oslo Tour Review

Hands down, I was super impressed and loved my tour provided by Brim Explorer π
The communication was super on-point with e-tickets and reminders sent before my trip.
This was such a nice change as usually, you get one confirmation when you book a tour and are fighting with your inbox trying to find it! π€¦ββοΈ
The Catamaran was easy to find and well-signposted too. I have to admit, it is one of the best-looking boats in the harbour so you cannot miss it.
But if you are like me and need to use Google Maps to give you a helping hand, it’s well worth getting an E-Sim for your trip.
I loved how the staff are super friendly and you can tell they are Oslo experts (I left with some great recommendations for places to eat and drink after my tour).
The real highlight of my 2 hour Oslo Fjords tour was how you can explore all the decks and immerse yourself in the landscape.
Walking around and still hearing the guide’s information made this tour even better for me and allowed me to take some great photos -this is where a good camera or selfie stick comes in handy.
So if you are still wondering “Should I buy the Brim Explorer Oslo Tour?”
100% yes!
It is amazing value for money and the best way to see the city without crowds or walking. For a better experience, put on some winter boots when walking around as it can be slippy!
Also, make sure you make use of the bar. Having an Aperol Spritz or beer while floating along the waters makes this an experience like no other π
How Do I Get From Oslo To Oslo Fjord?

To reach the Oslo Fjord area you are going to need to take a ferry or book a tour.
A tour is the best way to pass through the different areas of the Fjords without stopping. But if you want to go swimming or spend a few hours here, get the ferry.
If you are visiting in Winter pack warm clothes!
These are the ferry routes to use to get to Oslo Fjord:
βοΈ Route B9 from City Hall Pier 3 (only covered by the city pass)
βοΈ Linje B1 (from Aker Brygee)
β TIP: If You Have The OSLO CITYPASS, you get a discount on Fjord seeing tours or can get the ferry for free!
Should I Buy The Brim Explorer Oslo Tour? Final Thoughts
When planning a trip to Oslo and looking for experiences, I noticed how Brim Explorer kept coming up despite multiple other options.
I can see why now…
This is one of the best Oslo boat tour options to book to experience the Fjords near the City!
Not only are their tours great value for money, but they also have great options for every traveller. I also LOVE the incredible Catamaran, staff and service throughout the tour.
