Owain Glyndwr was the last native Welshman to have the title of ‘Prince of Wales’. He was considered a strong and fierce Welsh Leader who craved Welsh Independence.
On 16 September 1400, Glyndŵr started the Welsh revolt against the rule of Henry IV of England.
Even though his initial uprising was successful in many parts of Wales, it was eventually suppressed. It was during this uprising that Llywelyn ap Gruffydd was executed in the town of Llandovery due to his loyalty to Glyndwr in 1401.

If you are exploring South Wales by Car, you can reach Llandovery very easily Via the M4.

If you are travelling by Public Transport to Llandovery to visit the Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Statue & Castle:
