The best way to get from Malta Airport to Gozo by car is to get to Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal then take the crossing to Gozo.
The drive to the ferry terminal is around 44 minutes and it is a really scenic drive.
If you want to make the most of your drive, take a travel cooler with you and have a picnic with a sea view!
Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, you will board the Gozo channel service to the harbour of Mġarr in Gozo.
This service is fast and efficient and there are multiple crossings available throughout the day.
The Malta to Gozo ferry only takes about 25 minutes and offers some incredible views. Renting a boat in Malta and Gozo is amazing and this ferry crossing will show you why!
I find the crossing can be a bit choppy at times so if you get seasick, sit on the top deck.

But be warned, in the summer it can get really busy.

You can catch the X1 Bus straight from Malta Airport to Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal.
The journey takes about 1 hour and goes multiple times a day, but it is worth checking the timetable before you go.

The journey takes around 25 minutes and there is a shop and plenty of seats available on the journey.

I do highly recommend booking a Gozo hotel that is easy to get to without a car as they usually provide free shuttle services.

This is a really popular way to reach Gozo if you don’t want to drive because you can skip the queues and travel in comfort.
