Want to know the best way to reach the Titanic Quater when you land? You are in the right place.
Most of my flights into Belfast are into Belfast International Airport. From here I have had to travel to my final destination which a few times has been, the Iconic Titanic Quarter.
The fastest way to get there is by taxi. However, it isn’t the cheapest way and doesn’t suite everyone’s needs.
Thankfully it is an easy journey with plenty of other great options!
I’ve created a list of all the ways you can get from the airport to the Titanic area, so you can decide which one is best for you.

How To Get From Belfast International Airport To Titanic Quarter: Quick Guide
Sometimes you need to know all your options quickly, so let’s jump in. These are your best transport options to reach the Titanic Quarter from Belfast International:
Journey Time- 28 minutes to over 1 hour depending on your transport choice
🚕 By Taxi– This is the quickest way to reach the Titanic area!
With good traffic, it should be a 28-minute drive.
Use if:
✔️ You need to get there in under 30 minutes
✔️ Door-to-door service will make your journey better
✔️ You are travelling in a group
✔️ Hiring a car is not for you
You can grab a taxi outside, but I recommend booking one in advance to skip the lines. I always do this since I had to wait in the rain on my first trip.
👋 TIP: Pack a coat in your hand luggage, it will probably come in handy!
GETTRANSFER.com has the most affordable rates whereas Airport Transfer.Com is better for a tailor-made experience and free cancellation!
🏆By Car– The best way to compare prices is with Discover Cars
Use if:
✔️ You want a fast transfer
✔️ You plan on exploring more of Ireland
🚌 Bus– Aircoach or the 300a towards Belfast.
This journey typically takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. If you don’t want to walk, you may have to take more than 1 bus.
Use if:
✔️ You have time (the route takes over an hour)
✔️ Budget-friendly transport outweighs the convenience
👆 This is how most locals get from the airport if they don’t want to pay for a taxi (I have travelled to the Titanic museum area by bus).
How Far Is The Titanic Museum From The Airport?

The Titanic Museum, also known as Titanic Belfast, is located in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The distance between Belfast International Airport (BFS) and Titanic Belfast is approximately 18 miles (29 kilometres). The journey by car usually takes around 28-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Other transport options will take longer, especially when you include waiting times.
🚨 Important Tip: Make sure you have the right baggage when flying into Belfast with Ryanair or EasyJet or you will be charged a fortune!
How Do I Get From Belfast Airport To The Titanic?
Luckily it is easy to reach the Titanic area from the Airport. Whether you are going there to check into your hotel or just want to visit the museum straight away, you have plenty of options.
(Pack waterproof clothing for your transfer, especially in winter. Every time I have left the Airport it’s rained 🤦♀️)
These are the best transport options you should consider for your Belfast trip:
By Taxi (The Quickest Way)

Like most destinations, getting a taxi is the quickest and most convenient way to travel.
You will find plenty of registered and vetted taxis outside the terminal. It always surprises me how much cheaper taxis are in Northern Ireland compared to other UK Airports!
This isn’t the cheapest option if you are travelling alone. However, if you need to reach the Titanic Quarter quickly and don’t want to wait around, this is the top option.
I also recommend getting a taxi if you are travelling as a group because it will work out cheaper and easier than the other transfers.
How much is a taxi from Belfast Airport to the Titanic Hotel?
You will probably pay around £40.00+ for your journey. However, this can change depending on if your taxi is running a meter and traffic.
The best way to know exactly what you will be paying is by booking a transfer in advance
By Bus (The Cheapest Option)

This option is the cheapest but it is not the most convenient. You will have to walk or get another bus to reach the Titanic Quarter from Belfast International Airport using this transfer.
It takes around 1 hour and costs £8.00 or £12.00 for a return ticket. You can either buy your ticket on the bus or at the Airport terminal by the car rental places.
Your journey will take around 1 hour but it is a great way to see the city. I don’t recommend this way if you have a lot of luggage because it becomes hard work!
The most popular route is: Get the 300a towards Belfast ➡️ get off at Ulster University ➡️ walk 10 minutes to Custom Square House ➡️ G2 towards Titanic Quarter
But be prepared to wait because EVERYONE will be doing this option!
During my last visit, I had to wait over 45 minutes for the 4th bus until there was space for me. It was also raining and cold so pack something warm/waterproof for the wait.
By Private Transfer (Most Convenient Option)
I’ve mentioned that getting a taxi is the quickest way but you will have to wait. This is where a private transfer comes in.
All the perks of a taxi without any hassle!
It’s the best option if you want to travel in style, have lots of luggage, are travelling as a group and like a bit of luxury.

By Car (Best Option For Exploring)
Belfast International is a fantastic location for reaching places like Derry and Giants Causeway.
If you are planning to explore more of Northern Ireland or other parts of Ireland in general, renting a car is the way to go. It will not only work out cheaper than using public transport, but help you reach more rural and isolated places in the area!
The Car Rental offices are by baggage claim. I’m always impressed by how quickly they get people on the road and you are not waiting long.
🏆HERTZ– is the Best Option with amazing reviews and unlimited mileage!
👆 It is one of the cheapest options in both Belfast Airports. However, with some of the car options you need to pay in full before you arrive so keep this in mind.
Their opening hours are 7:00 AM- 22:30/23:59. If your flight arrives after this, email them before booking.
✅ Expert Tip: To make your journeys throughout Northern Ireland and beyond easier, download Google Maps and pack some road trip essentials just in case!
How To Get From Belfast International Airport To Titanic Quarter: Final Thoughts
I love flying into Belfast International because no matter if you are going to explore Derry or straight to the Titanic Hotel, you will find a way!
Most visitors go by bus or taxi or bus to reach the Titanic Quarter.
The bus is far by the cheapest option but it takes over an hour and isn’t direct. Whereas going via taxi is the quickest way but is more expensive, especially for solo travellers.
But no matter how you want to reach your destination, I hope this guide has made your decision a little easier!
Just remember that this area is super popular to visit, you can even do a day trip from Dublin. So any restaurants, experiences or activities you want to do, try and book them in advance.
